You have a part. We build the solution that makes it.
ENQUIPA is a contract engineering and automation practice in Upstate South Carolina. We design, build, install and support custom production machines, poka-yoke fixtures, test stands, gages and robotic cells.
What we do
FIVE SERVICE LINES
01
Mechanical design, engineering and fabrication
Complete mechanical design from requirement to released drawings — modelled in SolidWorks, dimensioned to GD&T, checked for tolerance stack-up and designed to be made, not just drawn. Custom machine framing in aluminium extrusion, steel tubing and weldments, fabricated through established machining and fabrication partners.
Machine design and engineering- SolidWorks 3D machine and component design
- GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFM and DFA review
- Custom machine framing: aluminium extrusion, steel tubing, weldments
- Sheet metal, guarding, enclosures and machine bases
- Released drawing packages a shop can quote from
02
Custom equipment, test stands, poka-yoke fixtures and tooling
Purpose-built equipment for one part and one process. Assembly and verification stations that make a missed step impossible, leak and functional test stands, presses and crimping machines, adhesive dispensing cells, gages, inspection fixtures and material handling — designed, built, installed and run off on your floor.
Custom equipment and fixtures- Poka-yoke assembly and verification stations
- Leak, pressure and functional test stands
- Presses, crimping and swaging machines
- Go/no-go gages, CMM and vision fixtures
- Material handling: work carts, conveyors, transfer and lift assists
- Machine rebuild and safety retrofit
03
Robotics automation — design, integration, programming and service
Robotic cells from feasibility through commissioning, including the parts most integrators subcontract: reach and cycle-time studies, custom end-of-arm tooling, offline programming, safety integration and operator training. Robotic surface finishing — grinding, sanding, polishing and deburring — plus robotic 3D scanning, laser welding and laser ablation.
Robotics and integration- ABB, FANUC, KUKA and Universal Robots
- Robotic grinding, sanding, polishing and deburring
- Robotic 3D scanning, laser welding and laser ablation
- Cell layout, reach and cycle-time simulation
- Offline programming, field teaching, commissioning
- Custom EOAT design and build
- Light curtains, guarding, PLC and HMI integration
04
Reverse engineering, 3D scanning, 3D printing and prototyping
When a part is obsolete, undocumented or worn out, the physical part becomes the drawing. Scanned or measured directly, modelled parametrically, dimensioned to a manufacturable drawing and verified against the original before anything is cut.
Reverse engineering and scanning- 3D scanning and mesh-to-CAD parametric modelling
- Legacy tooling, dies, fixtures and discontinued components
- Injection mold cavity and core design
- In-house 3D printing for form-and-fit prototypes
- CNC machining and industrial additive through partners
05
Project engineering, startup consulting, DFM and NPI
Engineering capacity without a hire. For established manufacturers that means owning a project end to end; for early-stage ventures it means turning a concept into something that can actually be produced at volume.
Project engineering and NPI- Project engineering and vendor management
- Design for manufacturability review
- Functional prototyping and component sourcing
- Production roadmaps and scale-up planning

About
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL ENGINEER
ALIAKSANDR (ALEX) APANOVICH
Fifteen years in mechanical design and industrial automation, the last decade in South Carolina.
I started on an assembly line as a process engineer, improving methods a shift at a time. From there into project and design engineering — industrial mechatronics and controls, then complete turnkey production and packaging lines for food, cleanroom and high-speed applications.
I came to the US in 2014 and started over on the floor as a CNC technician, moved into machine design for a machine shop serving Tier-1 automotive suppliers, and ran an independent design-build practice. For five years I was the sole North American engineer for Roboticom, an Italian robotics manufacturer, owning every project from RFQ through installation, commissioning and operator training — medical O&P robotics, robotic surface finishing, and multi-axis stone sculpting.
ENQUIPA is led by me and backed by a standing group of specialists: controls engineers and PLC programmers, robotics and laser applications, CNC machining, fabrication and industrial additive. One engineer owns your project end to end and brings in the right specialist for each part of it.
